The Great Norman Mailer

I was going through my old pile of Rolling Stone Magazines today, and I came upon the interesting article of Norman Mailer. According to Camille Paglia, the writer of the article, he was a novelist, a new journalism pioneer, a public intellectual and a pugilist. I'm into these types of people now, especially if they tried to make a difference in our non-understanding society. To this day he is still remembered as a great writer. That's a good reason to draw him, right?

  3. @ Grace, yeah walnut ink is a bit like watercolor, you could work in layers and water it down even more. Professor Kokinos made us buy this ink, and we never got around to use it. But I recommend it!

@ Nora, Hey there Nora, thanks for commenting! I basically used walnut ink, which is drawing ink, and I worked in layers, but I mainly focused on the tones of his face. You should definitely try it. This is actually my first time using walnut ink, but see how it works for you!
